AN OPEN LETTER TO J K ROWLING

I want you to know how much you inspire all budding authors with your belief in your work despite having quite a few rejections. How the publishers must now be kicking themselves for not taking you on , well I had my first rejection letter the other week but instead of being downhearted even though I was a little, I thought of you and how you never ever gave up. ..

I believe you started the writing of the Harry Potter books when you lived in Edinburgh on your own having seperated from your husband and with a young daughter to bring up you needed to earn a living. Well didnt you do well selling millions of books and having fiilms made of the series your first being Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone.

It took you over 5 years writing the outlines of the stories and giving the characters names, my what great imagination you must have the marvellous name of Hogwarts among many others , with many wonderful story lines.

You have shown myself and all aspiring writers to never give up even though we have doors slammed in our faces (not literally of course excuse the pun!) we have to keep trying to open that door, so thank you for that JK.....

 Alnwick Castle was used in the making of the Harry Potter films , a perfect spooky setting Im sure you will agree, it is located in Northumberland which is on the borders of Scotland in the North of England.    This medieval castle was used as Hogwarts exteriors and is the home of the present Duke of Northumberland and his family.

There are millions of Harry Potter fans from around the world who will be flocking to see the last ever film of the series Deathly Hallows Part 2 but I am pretty sure J K Rowling has more great stories in the pipeline.......

The talented young stars Daniel Radcliffe Emma Watson and Rupert Grint have been in all of the Harry Potter films ......with other famous actors also appearing in the series ...
